Abstract
The supply system, for an arc furnace, has its current supply line comprising a tube (7) which coaxially encloses its gas pipe (6). Both tube and pipe are enclosed by a coaxial casing (1). This casing meets a flange (8) at one end. The flange has a channel for supplying flux to the inside of the casing and two further channels (13, 14) for supplying gas and water to the pipe and tube. The advantage lies in the supply system having effective and simple seals and in providing adequate cooling.
