Abstract

The lighting fitting, esp. a standard lamp, has a lamp socket arranged vertically on a support plate. Electrical contacts are readily made and the socket arrangement is accessible for repairs. The integral socket (4) is held by internal holding bracket (6) away from the support plate (3) at the base of the socket enclosing tube (21). This bracket has an earthing screw (14). The support plate (3) is placed on top of the standard column tube (2) and rests there by its flange. The support plate flange is trapped between the reflector plate (17) and standard tube. the reflector is held by a side screw (19).
