Abstract

The pollytron protection screen is for fitting in a wall of a house at a spot where there is an opening between the interior and exterior. The screen is fitted level with the opening in a similar fashion to a window or door. The screen includes a filter panel which is partially translucent or transparent. The porosity of the screen is such that it allows the passage of air but retains any pollutant particles. The filter panel may include a cellular layer having open cells, or alternatively a layer of material impermeable to air having micro-perforations. The impermeable material may be a sheet of metal, paper of plastics.
