Abstract

The panel reflector has a faceted surface reflecting an incoming light beam through a fixed angle and may be used in image projection generally and including advertising panels and road signs. The panel is based on the use of a matrix of individual lenses, cats - eyes and prisms forming auto - collimators over its surface as trihedral rectangles. Each individual optical assembly presents a hexagonal form about its axis of symmetry. The optical components are mounted on apnel sections supported by a common frame, each such section being about sixty centimeters square, the overall panel thickness being between five and ten centimeters.
