Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de craquage catalytique d'hydrocarbures dans lequel on réduit la quantité d'oxyde de carbone et d'oxydes de soufre dans le gaz de cheminée du régénérateur. Selon l'invention on fait réagir de l'oxyde de carbone et de l'oxygène dans la zone de régénération en contact avec un promoteur d'oxydation, on introduit de l'oxygène moléculaire pour que l'atmosphère de la zone de régénération contienne au moins 0,5 % en volume d'oxygène moléculaire, on élimine le coke du catalyseur de façon à ce que le catalyseur contienne moins de 0,2 % en poids de carbone, on incorpore au catalyseur une phase d'alumine sensiblement exempte de silice, le catalyseur étant sensiblement exempt du promoteur d'oxydation précité, on forme un solide contenant du soufre et de l'aluminium dans le catalyseur en faisant réagir l'anhydride sulfurique sur l'alumine présente dans la phase d'alumine du catalyseur et on sépare le soufre du catalyseur en question. Le procédé en question comporte moins d'étapes que les procédés de la technique antérieure.
