Abstract

The double pocket type document file is made from a large diameter tube of plastics film (17). The tube is collapsed in the flat condition and cut into lengths equal to twice the width of the finished file. The corners (20) on one side of the flattened tube are cut off and the tube is then pulled open and flattened again along lines midway between the original folds (21, 22). The flattened tube is then folded along a central transverse line with the cut-outs on the outside of the folded surfaces. The top edges can be welded together or alternatively the edges can be gripped in a clip forming part of the bar which suspends the file on the rails of a filing cabinet.
