Abstract

The apparatus enables a bedridden patient to drink, and comprises a bracket (1) accommodating a vessel (9) containing the drinking fluid, with a bottom outlet (10). A flexible hose (13) fits onto the outlet, ending in a mouthpiece (26) equipped with a valve (33). The bracket can have a collar with a clamping screw (6) securing it to the top of a hospital bed frame, and a chamber to accommodate a bottle, with a swivel union at the bottom whose end fits in the bottle neck. A movable part at the top presses against the bottle. The swivel joint can be coupled to a grip, tilting it to allow insertion and removal of the bottle.
