Abstract

L'invention permet de mesurer la hauteur du centre de gravité d'un spécimen quelconque ainsi que ses moments d'inertie par rapport à des axes perpendiculaires à une direction donnée, sans avoir à manipuler le spécimen. Celui-ci, figuré en 5 sur le plateau 1 monté sur roulements 2, peut être orienté par le moteur 19. La mesure des périodes d'oscillation, lorsque la masse 14 est à la distance z puis z + DELTA z de l'axe d'oscillation, permet de déterminer l'inertie par rapport à cet axe connaissant la variation DELTA I = m(2z + DELTA z) DELTA z. L'invention s'applique notamment aux mesures précises d'inertie de spécimen de manipulation délicate.
