Abstract

A sack (3) is fitted with a small plate (1) which is inserted loosely, but captively, in an opening (12) in the gripping part (11) of the sack or bag. The plate (1) has a toothed blade (2) by means of which the sack can be opened at one corner for removing part of its contents. After removal, the sack is closed again in that the plate is firstly removed and the cut corner is then gathered together and passed through a toothed opening (4) in the plate (1). The sack is then tightly closed again.
