Abstract

The petrol pump includes a credit card reader and is released to allow petrol to be dispensed after reading the customer code from an inserted credit card. The amt. of petrol dispensed and/or the value of the dispensed quantity of petrol is displayed together with the customer code. A store has a storage cell for each customer code, storing the customer credit, with the latter updated at the end of each dispensing cycle. The contents of each storage cell together with the respective customer codes can be printed out, with the credit card reader blocked until the end of print out.
