Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de blocs de fibres courtes, organiques ou inorganiques. Des mèches de fibre 10 sont découpées par une machine 22, passent ensuite dans une machine de demêlage 30, et sont introduites par un courant d'air dans un cyclone 40, pour former des blocs 18 en forme de boules ou de balles évacués sur un convoyeur à bande 48. L'invention s'applique notamment à la formation de blocs de fibres de verre pour l'isolation thermique et/ou phonique.
