L'invention a pour objet un dispositif de mesure de la forme d'une surface sensiblement cylindrique Ce dispositif comprend une pluralité de doigts palpeurs, élastiquement solidaires d'un bâti central, disposées à intervalles angulaires égaux autour de ce bâti et des moyens électriques pour mesurer la position extrême de chaque doigt ainsi que des moyens pour maintenir chaque doigt en contact avec la surface cylindrique à mesurer, des moyens pour mettre ces doigts en position rétractée et des moyens pour déplacer l'ensemble des palpeurs selon un mouvement de translation. Application industrielle à la vérification de tubes d'échangeurs et de pipelines de forage.
