Abstract

The cartridge used with a smooth bore gun, for target or hunting purposes, provides a precise and accurate trajectory. It has a cylindrical body (1), the front face (17) being slightly rounded. The length of the body is recessed, providing front (13) and rear (14) sealing rings. Inside the body is smaller cylindrical portion (7), extending rearwards from behing (10) the front face. This forms a base for four parallel fins (4), equally spaced and also projecting rearwards. The weight of the fins is less than that of the cylindrical body, ensuring the necessary stability. It can be self-fragmenting on impact.
