Abstract

A loudspeaker (2) and cabinet assembly (1) are constructed in cylindrical quadrant section fashion for corner mounting. The assembly comprises a low frequency response speaker and a high frequency response speaker collectively embracing the audible frequency spectrum. The low frequency speaker is an acoustic resonator of the Helmhotz type. Each resonator provides a rear cavity in which mechanical compression of respective membranes takes place. Twinned with each unit is an electrical resonator the resonant frequency of which matches that of the whole assembly.
