Abstract

La présente invention concerne une méthode de préparation de sulfonates d'éther à partir d'alcools. Cette invention concerne plus particulièrement une méthode de préparation de sulfonates d'éther par réaction d'un bisulfite de métal alcali sur un éther de polyoxyalkylène d'un alcool allylique. L'éther lui-même est de préférence obtenu par réaction de l'alcool d'allyle approprie ou d'allyle substitué sur l'alcool polyoxyalkylènique approprié. Les sulfonates d'éther conviennent spécialement comme détergents, ou comme agents tensio-actifs dans des procédés améliorés de récupération de pétrole.The present invention relates to a method of preparing ether sulfonates from alcohols. More particularly, this invention relates to a method of preparing ether sulfonates by reacting an alkali metal bisulfite with a polyoxyalkylene ether of an allylic alcohol. The ether itself is preferably obtained by reacting the appropriate allyl or substituted allyl alcohol with the appropriate polyoxyalkylene alcohol. Ether sulfonates are especially suitable as detergents, or as surfactants in improved petroleum recovery processes.
