Abstract

On fait réagir des composés aromatiques portant un substituant alpha -halogenoalkyle et au moins un groupe nitro en position ortho et/ou para de ce groupe avec des arylamines portant au moins un atome d'hydrogène sur le noyau aromatique en position ortho et/ou para dun groupe amino, on sépare l'halogénure d'hydrogène libéré par neutralisation à l'aide d'une base, on réduit les groupes nitro du produit de condensation en groupes amino et, finalement, on soumet à transposition en présence d'eau et d'un catalyseur acide en les polyarylamines recherchées. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de préparer des polyarylamines asymétriques qui présentent un intérêt croissant dans la chimie des polyuréthannes après transformation en les polyisocyanates correspondants.
