Abstract

The spring brake cylinder is particularly intended for combination with a pneumatic brake cylinder for road vehicles. It comprises a brake force storing spring arranged between the cylinder bottom and a spring brake piston and a spring support disc whose shape corresponds with that of the piston with which it is in contact. The piston rod is hollow and, at the end carrying the piston, is provided with a radial bearing face capable of accepting the brake force from the disc. The piston rod end with the bearing face may project through the piston.
