Abstract

La présente invention concerne des compositions retardatrices de fumée. Les compositions selon l'invention comprennent un polymère de chlorure de vinyle ou de chlorure de vinylidène avec un agent retardateur de fumée contenant au moins un molybdate d'amine, ladite amine utilisée pour l'obtention du molybdate d'amine ayant de 1 à 40 atomes de carbone et de 1 à 10 groupes amine primaire, secondaire ou tertiaire ou un de leurs melanges. Application : les molybdates d'amines utilisés comme additifs dans les compositions de l'invention retardent efficacement la formation de fumée lors de la combustion de polymères de chlorure de vinyle et de chlorure de vinylidène.
