Il comprend un transporteur sans fin 2 avec des supports individuels 3 pour les objets, une source de lumière 21 et un système de voies avec un dispositif d'aiguillage commandé par un signal fonction de la quantité de lumière réfléchie. Le triage selon la grosseur s'effectue à la suite du triage selon la couleur au moyen des supports, comprenant à cet effet deux parties 4, 5 déplaçables l'une par rapport à l'autre.
