Abstract

The aerial cable suspension clamp is of the type composed of a body fitted with suspension fittings and two jaws. The body (2) has a transversal section generally in the form of a U. The interior faces of the branches (2a, 2b) converge in the direction of its longitudinal median plane. The ends (3) of the branches (2a, 2b) are bent inwards. In the clamps sides (4) are slots (5) whose exterior wall is cut by a hole (6) having a slot (7) in it. Into the hole (6) and slot (7) is fitted the end (8) of a suspension fitting (10). The clamp has jaws (11) which contain clamping blocks (12a, 12b). These blocks are mounted so as to slide within the body (2). They have exterior lateral faces (13) which are inclined and converge. The inclination of the exterior faces (13) conforms with the interior inclination of the branches (2a, 2b) of the body (2). The clamp blocks (12a, 12b) being designed to overlap each other in section.
