Abstract

La présente addition concerne un ensemble de perfectionnements apportés à l'assemblage des parties libre et encastrée du support faisant l'objet du brevet principal et la description détaillée d'une méthode réalisée pour la mise en place de l'embase. Les parties libre et encastrée sont reliées dans l'exemple donne par deux platines soudées à chacune des parties, lesquelles sont boulonnées entr'elles avec possibilités d'adaptation de types différents suivant les efforts qui sont exercés et la nature des sols. La capacité d'adaptation est encore augmentable par l'intermédiaire d'une platine supplémentaire, servant également à s'opposer aux efforts d'enfoncement dus aux pressions verticales. Un autre type est composé d'une platine unique sur laquelle sont fixés d'une part l'embase, et d'autre part un moignon permettant l'emmanchement de la partie libre, ce système étant réservé à des types déterminés La forme de la fouille recevant l'embase est limitable à la forme exacte de celle-ci pour diminuer le volume des terres enlevées, soit par fraisage vertical, soit par battage d'un outil de forme identique permettant la confection d'un fourreau dans lequel est glissé l'embase. La compacité du terrain est amélioré par fonçage lourd. Dans le cas de sols fins, sujet au gonflement par imbibition, un traitement des sols est possible avant compactage, ce traitement ayant pour effet de déclencher une réaction supprimant après compactage les effets du gel, de gonflement, de perméabilité, de la capillarité, la plasticité, tout en augmentant l'agglomération des particules et l'effet hydrofuge.
