Abstract

The circular saw blade is for making long cuts in heavy baulks of timber. The periphery of the saw (1) has teeth (2) which can be undercut, stellite (R.T.) or similar. The angle of the teeth (3) is chosen appropriately and the angle (4) of the cut stops (5) is a negative one. The teeth are harder than the material of the saw itself, at their outer part. The cut stops are made of material exceeding 68 Rock C. The base part of the saw is of material between 40 and 50 Rock C hardness. Material near the cut stops are of high speed steel of between 60) and 68 Rock C hardness. The negative angle (4) can be greater or less than the positive tooth angle.
