Abstract

The manual change gearbox consists of a clutch (1) and a drive pinion (5a) connected to the differential gear (3) which is fitted with its own crown wheel (6). The automatic change gearbox has a hydrodynamic converter, an output pinion and an intermediate gear. The common housing (8) is in two parts and may be fixed to the machined face of the engine block. The mating faces to the automatic and manual change gear boxes are identical in dimension and can be interchanged. The intermediate gear in the automatic change gearbox mates both with the output pinion, and with the crown wheel of the automatic gear.
