Abstract
The time-keeping adjustment is used in a quartz timepiece having a quartz-oscillator circuit and a frequency divider (11) providing hours minutes and seconds signals for a time display (10). It employs a tuning capacitor (5, 6) which can be switched between two different valves. This capacitor (5, 6) is incorporated in the oscillator circuit, with each valve varying its frequency from the standard valve in the positive or negative sense respectively. The capacitance valve is selected according to a time-sharing principle with average oscillator frequency for the two adjusted oscillation frequencies coinciding with the standard value.
