Abstract

The slip-ring system consists of a first slip-ring connected by a stationary brush to the positive terminal of a d.c. voltage source. A second slip-ring is connected through a further stationary brush to the negative terminal of the d.c. voltage source. A third slip-ring is divided in two halves insulated from each other, one of which is connected to the first, and the other to the second slip-ring. In equally spaced brushes are allocated to the third ring, to which an n-phase inductive load is connected. A capacitor (27-29) is inserted between each brush (18-20) of the third slip-ring (15) and a common reference potential.
