Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'élimination de mousses utilisant un brise-mousse mécanique. Selon l'invention, on ajoute au milieu moussant, des agents anti-mousses, en fonction de la puissance absorbée du brise-mousse mécanique. Le brise-mousse utilisé présente une tête 3, munie de tôles de guidage, fixée sur un arbre entraîné en rotation, avec une vitesse périphérique de 5 à 40 m/sec, de préférence de 10 à 25 m/sec a l'extrémité de la tête. Les agents anti-mousse sont ajoutés lorsqu'on atteint 80 %, et de préférence 90 % de la puissance nominale du brise-mousse mécanique. Applications : dégazage de dispersions moussantes de matières plastiques. Appareillage pour la polymérisation dans l'industrie chimique.
