Abstract
The multi-layer material is heated to a temp. at which the different amts. of expansion of the components causes the bond to be severed. The material is then supplied to partially fill a container in which repeated shocks are automatically given to the material. The parted pieces are removed from the container and separated by a magnetic field or a gravitational method. Method enables the components to be sepd. economically. The recovered component can be recycled without the need for continuous supervision of the sepn. plant.
