Abstract

Cet appareil est du type de ceux comportant un système de visée par dédoublement, à l'aide d'un miroir mobile en rotation Ml, de deux miroirs fixes M2 et M4 et d'un miroir lié à un pendule M3. Selon l'invention, le miroir mobile M1, placé entre les deux miroirs fixes M2 et M4, est semi-transparent, semi-réfléchissant. Ainsi, l'un des trajets optiques de visée traverse le miroir Ml sans aucune déviation, tandis qu'un autre trajet optique de visée subit des réflexions successives sur une face du miroir mobile Ml, le miroir fixe M2, le miroir lié à un pendule M3, le miroir fixe M4, et la face opposée du miroir M1. La mesure se fait en faisant coïncider le rayon simplement transmis à travers le miroir mobile M1 et le rayon réfléchi deux fois par ce miroir, donc en visant dans la direction réelle de l'objet. Application à la mesure de la hauteur angulaire d'un astre, ou de sa distance zénithale.
