Abstract

L'équipement selon l'invention se distingue par au moins un navire support et de commande S et une ou plusieurs machines d'extraction par dragage M autopropulsée et commandée par le navire pour circuler le long du fond de la mer, chaque machine comportant deux bras de dragage et un système transporteur pour déverser les nodules dans une caisse qui est libérée quand elle est pleine et qui comporte un sac gonflable pour provoquer la remontée de la caisse jusqu'à la surface de la mer où elle est récupérée par un bateau P qui verse ensuite le contenu dans une barge B. La commande est assurée par des caméras de télévision et des sonars. Un tel équipement convient en particulier pour l'extraction des minerais à des profondeurs de 1 000 à 5 000 m sur le fond de l'océan.
