Abstract

Il s'agit de protéger contre les chocs localisés la tranche usinée 2, 3 d'un tube 1 destinée à être soudée sur une tranche analogue. On a recours à cet effet à une virole métallique 4 de faible épaisseur (1mm) prolongée par un rebord rabattu d'abord radialement vers l'extérieur 5 puis radialement vers l'intérieur 6, le double rabat ainsi formé coiffant la tranche à protéger. Des trous il sont crevés vers l'extérieur dans la virole et le montage de celle-ci sur le tube est assuré par un clavetage sollicitant la virole à l'expansion. Application préférée : protection des tranches chanfreinées des tubes destinés à former des conduites de fluide soudées.
