Abstract

Un élément de rail 10 est du type profilé, à section droite en forme générale de U. La surface externe 14 du fond du U est la zone destinée à être balayée par un contact électrique d'alimentation; elle est sensiblement plane ou légèrement concave, tandis que la paroi interne 15 au fond du U est demi-circulaire entre les points diamétraux 16 et 17. Les parois externes des branches du U présentent des zones sensiblement planes 22 et 23 où elles s'inclinent vers l'extérieur en s'éloignant du fond du U, selon un angle de 10 degrés environ. Un doigt cylindrique moleté peut être serti sur le fond interne 15 demi-circulaire de l'élément de rail en repliant localement à force vers l'intérieur les extrémités des branches 12 et 13 du U.
