Abstract

The collar (1) is designed to fit around the neck or other suitable part of an animal and to give protection against electromagnetic radiation. It comprises a core made from copper, this being a solid flat strip covered with an insulated coating and fixed to an insulated backing. This backing can form the actual collar. The copper core may also comprise a flexible copper braid or several copper wires laid in sinusoidal or zigzag fashion, these being covered with a cotton insulating layer. When worn, the two ends of the copper core are prevented from meeting or making contact.
