L'invention concerne un générateur de courant de soudage Ce générateur comprend un premier élément 1 à thyristors 13, 14, 15, alimenté par un secondaire 10 d'un transformateur 11, régulé de façon à fournir une tension sensiblement constante, et un second élément de générateur 2 à courant sensiblement constant suffisant pour entretenir l'arc et branché en parallèle sur l'élément de générateur 1. Application au soudage avec fil fusible et courts-circuits.
