Abstract

L'invention concerne le problème de la réduction de la pollution due aux moteurs à combustion interne. Le procédé consiste à établir une post-combustion dans la chambre de combustion d'un moteur à combustion interne en faisant éclater dans celle-ci une première étincelle à haute tension assurant un allumage de type classique du mélange carburé, puis une seconde étincelle dont la duree est prolongée et en injectant au moins une partie de l'air, ou de l'air carburé, nécessaire à la post-combustion à proximité de cette seconde étincelle de façon à former un plasma. Ce procédé est applicable à tout type de moteurs à combustion interne y compris ceux du type à piston rotatif.
