Abstract

Compositions de verre à base d'oxydes pour les fibres, filées en continu, ayant une grande résistance aux milieux alcalins tels que les mortiers à base de ciment L'invention a pour objet des verres qui font partie du système d'équilibre thermique de phases: SiO2 CaO-MgONa2 O-ZrO2 A12 O3 et qui ont la composition suivante : SiO2 40-75 %; CaO 0,1-10 %; MgO 0-8 %; Na2 O 3-15 %; ZrO 2 5-20 %; A12 O3 0-10 %. On peut utiliser pour la fusion et pour la transformation en continue en fibres des installations connues pour les fibres de type E avec des adaptations. Les fibres obtenues avec ces compositions peuvent être utilisées pour la confection de bétons armés avec du verre et pour remplacer l'amiante dans les produits d'amiante-ciment.
