Abstract

L'invention décrit l'obtention d'une lentille molle de contact en collagène moulé. On obtient une telle lentille à partir de collagène solubilisé, dégraissé, transformé en un gel transparent auquel on donne par moulage la forme d'une lentille et que l'on réticule. On peut utiliser du collagène normal, dénaturé ou chimiquement modifié. La lentille peut être implantée avec succès dans le stroma de la cornée, sans rejet subséquent ni réaction allergique. Elle peut être constamment portée sans gêne.
