Abstract

The composite vehicle comprises a front tractive portion forming an independent vehicle, suitable for connecting to a rear portion. The front steering wheels (1) of the front portion are also the driving wheels, while its rear ones (2) turn freely, being so arranged that all the front portion is in front of the vertical plane tangental to the rear of the rear wheels. There can be a rear portion suitable for connection to the front one, having freely rotating wheels (3) at the front which, when coupled up, are as close as possible to the rear wheels of the front portion. When coupled up, the front wheels of the rear portion can act as the main load carriers, and there can also be a central caster wheel at the rear of the rear portion.
