Abstract
An electronic equivalent of the game of 'battleships' is provided by two separate areas of play and a central control module. Each player has a matrix play area that is out of sight of the other player. For the specific game considered an 8 x 8 matrix area is used with groups of three LED elements used to identify specific cells. A central control unit allows players to input data and control the overall operation of the game. The digital logic circuitry for the game is contained in the central unit.
