Abstract

The one-piece profiled section allows the installation of double-glazing on an existing window frame. It includes a housing accommodating all types of glazing, and can have a seating to allow placement on any type of rabbet. It can be welded to the glazed surface, and can have an extension whose internal face forms a mounting for a preformed sealing joint. There may also be drillings in the extension at intervals, to accommodate the fixing devices. A further mounting can be provided on the outside face of the extension, for a metal stiffener plate, and also allowing a metal square to be fitted in the frame corners.
