Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de tri automatique d'objets et un procédé mettant en oeuvre un tel dispositif. Il se présente sous la forme d'un assemblage d'éléments modulaires dont chacun comprend une case de réception, un plateau incliné disposé au-dessus de celle-ci et un élément mobile comportant notamment des moyens de poussée capable d'entraîner l'objet sur le plateau soit dans le sens normal d'acheminement, soit dans le sens inverse. Ces éléments mobiles entraînent successivement l'objet dans le sens normal d'un plateau sur le suivant jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne le plateau qui suit la case de réception. A ce moment, l'élément mobile correspondant à ce plateau pousse l'objet dans le sens inverse jusqu'à ce qu'il tombe dans cette case. L'invention s'applique notamment aux équipements de tri de plis postaux de grand format et au classement de dossiers.
