Abstract

Dispositif électronique permettant la conversion de l'énergie électromagnétique en courant électrique, et inversement. Ce dispositif est constitué d'un nombre élevé de diodes semi-conductrices connectées en parallèle. Chaque diode est construite selon les principes des circuits integrés à électrons pi : - elle est constituée d'une molécule organique de grand poids moléculaire; - un réseau de liaisons sigma en assure la structure; - la disposition des orbitales électroniques pi en détermine le comportement semi-conducteur. L'invention peut être utilisée pour la conversion de l'énergie lumineuse, l'éclairage, et l'affichage des images, ainsi que pour la modulation et la détection rapide de la lumière.
