Abstract
Procédé pour analyser un fluide circulant dans un conduit et appareil pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce qu'on bombarde le fluide avec des neutrons qui subissent un ralentissement et qui, ensuite, entrent dans des réactions de capture de neutrons thermiques avec les matières présentes dans le fluide; en ce qu'on obtient un spectre d'énergie des rayons gamma résultant des réactions de capture des neutrons thermiques; en ce qu'on obtient une mesure de la concentration du chlore dans le fluide à partir du spectre des énergies des rayons gamma; et en ce quon utilise cette mesure de la concentration du chlore pour produire une mesure de la concentration de l'eau salée dans le fluide. L'invention décrit aussi un appareil pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. Application à l'industrie pétrolière (extraction et raffinage).
