Abstract

The swimming and floating aid is easily packed into a small bag. The person using the floating device lies on the stomach between two plastics poles (1 and 2) supported by belts (4 and 5) for thighs and chest. The belts are looped onto the poles and are removable after use. A floating plastic drum with radial paddle blades (17) mounted between the front ends of the poles is activated by the user by rotating two handles (14) so that the swimming aid moves forwards or backwards. In an alternative design, the drum can be rotated by a twisted elastic band through the middle.
