Abstract

L'appareil comporte un réflecteur à surfaces paraboliques 18, 19, 21, 22, une ampoule 23 émettrice de lumière entourée par ce réflecteur et des surfaces 25 absorbant la lumière placées de manière à intercepter sensiblement toute la lumière émise de l'ampoule de la source lumineuse qui autrement serait réfléchie ou dirigée dans une zone d'environ 45 à 90 degrés au-dessus de la verticale descendante. Le réflecteur parabolique est disposé de manière à assurer un maximum d'intensite lumineuse dans une zone d'environ 25 à 45 degrés au-dessus de ladite verticale. L'éblouissement direct gênant est éliminé aussi bien que les réflexions voilantes sur des objets placés sur un plan de travail. L'appareil peut être monté en surface d'un plafond dans un boîtier 16 sur le plafond ou en retrait ou encore au-dessus du plan de travail à l'aide de supports installés au plancher ou sur une table. L'appareil peut également être inversé pour éclairage indirect diffusé par le plafond.
