Abstract

The system is designed for stringing electric or telephone cables on the cross arm of a pole. The stringing operation is aided by means of a suspension accessory fitted with a hook. The system is fixed to the end of a hand held pole (3). It has a rod (7) which is arranged to slide parallel to the access of the pole. The system has a stop (9) whose forms corresponds to the lower profile of the suspension accessory. The system has two fixed projecting parts (11, 12) which are turned towards the stop (9). The projecting parts are separated by a slot (13) and their shape corresponds to the upper profile of the suspension accessory (14). A spring (10) pushes the sliding rod (7) against the stop (9) in the direction of the two projecting parts (11, 12). The slot separating the two projecting parts (11, 12) is arranged so that the hook (17) of the suspension accessory (14), when placed in the system, occupies a permanent position. This permits the cables to slide in the guidance slots of the suspension accessory.
