Abstract
The ultrasonic system for detecting bubbles in the blood of the human body, is used on a diver who has been immersed at great depths and subjected to high pressures. The system is a Doppler system, the receiver having a mixer stage and a low frequency amplifier with a band pass filter at its output, the band passed being characteristic of the origin of the detected sound. The filtering stage has three integrated operational amplifiers in cascade, with capacitors between the amplifiers. The intermediate amplifier has a potentiometer to vary its supply voltage. The transmission frequency is 5 MHz and the band passed is between 800 Hz and 4 kHz. The transmitter has a low noise level quarz oscillator.
