Abstract

A rotary device with several grips collects successive items from one machine and releases them at 90 degrees to their original path. Pref. the item has three arms deployed at 120 degrees C. intervals with their centre of rotation offset from the original path of the articles. Interaction between the holders, their connecting rods, gears and an adjustable cam allows the items collected to be turned through 90 degrees in two axes if desired. Used for transfer of tinned foods, etC.
