Abstract

Four rotatif perfectionné. Les extrémités des fours rotatifs à revêtement réfractaire sont souvent soumises à une chaleur si intense que la carcasse en acier du four à l'une ou aux deux extrémités est l'objet d'une certaine dilatation tant dans le sens longitudinal que dans le sens circonférentiel, dilatation qui se traduit par une fissuration et une défaillance prématurées du réfractaire. Le présent dispositif est un four rotatif dans lequel une ou les deux extrémités de la carcasse en acier sont munies de plusieurs fentes sensiblement longitudinales qui acceptent la dilatation circonférentielle, et où la matière réfractaire est fixée à la carcasse à l'une ou aux deux extrémités à l'aide de moyens de fixation glissants acceptant la dilatation longitudinale. Application notamment à la pyrolyse de matières carbonées.
