Abstract

Procédé de fabrication d'une poudre à base de fer consistant à préparer un mélange d'une poudre de fer ayant une granulométrie maximum < 350 mu m et de 1 à 20 % d'une poudre de cuivre ou de composés de cuivre réductibles ayant une granulométrie maximum < 175 mu m, à soumettre le mélange à un traitement thermique en atmosphère réductrice à une température de 700-950 pendant une durée allant de 15 mn à 10 h, de préférence 0,5-5 h, à broyer le mélange comprimé ainsi obtenu en une poudre ayant une granulométrie maximum < 350 mu m, le traitement thermique étant exécuté de telle façon que la compressibilité de la poudre traitée thermiquement, selon la norme ASTM B 331-64, soit inférieure au maximum de 0,15 g/cm**3 à la compressibilité du mélange correspondant de poudres de fer et de cuivre et que la teneur totate en oxygène n'excède pas 1,2 %, et à mélanger la poudre de fer ainsi obtenue avec de la poudre de fer pur en une quantité telle que le mélange ait la teneur en cuivre désirés, avec 0 à 2 % de graphite, 0 à 2 % de lubrifiant solide sous forme de poudre et, si on le désire, 0 à 5 % de Ni,0 à 2 % de Mo et 0 à 1,5 % de P séparément ou en combinaison.
