Abstract

L'invention concerne le traitement des déchets de tanneries. Elle se rapporte à un procédé de combustion d'une quantité importante de déchets de tanneries, à une température inférieure à 650 degrés C environ et en présence d'une matière alcaline afin que la plus grande partie du chrome des déchets passe dans les cendres à l'état hexavalent, une partie au moins de la matière organique formant des gaz. Le chrome hexavalent est récupéré dans les cendres et éventuellement utilisé. Application au traitement des déchets de tanneries.
